I collect baking books and this one is a gem. It looks great, the pictures are very inviting. Every recipe has an arty photograph.
Unlike the other reviewer, I have also used a lot of the recipes from this book and they have all worked out. And they all taste wonderful. You will find new and creative recipes in them, not only the common ones.
For exemple there is a recipe for gingerbread cake, but with a nice hard bottom, almost caramel like, lovely. My husband who doesn't like gingerbread, loves this recipe. There is also a cheescake slice recipe, which cooks the cheesecake in a pan, before baking it. The advantage is a silk like slice, wonderful. The hardcover is made from some sort of fabric, which gives it an expensive look. I highly recommend this one. The only thing you have to watch out for is the quantity. I multiply for all the recipes the needed quantity with 1,5, otherwise it is too little for the specified form.
