I bought this book because of the title, but to be honest I wasn't very inspired. It is instantly forgettable, and I think this book was written with the US market in mind. I also purchased '200 cupcakes' by Joanna Farrow (Hamlyn Books) at the same time as this one, and that book knocks spots of this one. I thought it lacked imagination was quite boring in comparison to the other cake books on the market. I wouldn't recommend it.

Fabulous book for anyone who loves baking cupcakes, with some more unusual recipes - all of which are very well written and beautifully photographed. Makes me want to dash into the kitchen and start baking!!
I make cakes as my job and I love this little cupcake book. There are a great selection of unusual recipes and different taste combinations that can be used and adapted for big cakes and some of the decorating is just darn gorgeous.
It's a lovely book within itself, beautifully photographed and is a hardcover keepsake type book with a proper ribbon as a pagemarker.
I would recommend it to all bakers, it's retro without being twee.
