I LOVE THIS BOOK! 23 Oct. 2014
By CJ in MN - Published on Amazon.com

I love this book! She covers everything, from planning, implementing, planting, maintaining, harvesting and troubleshooting. She covers microgreens, sprouts, wheat grass and vegetables like carrots, beets and even potatoes! She also shares her failures and mistakes without dwelling on them. Besides all this great info, she is a fun read. This is a hands on book and I would recommend it to anyone interested in growing food inside.

A fun approach to growing food indoors 23 Nov. 2014
By Carol J. Michel - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This book offers a fun approach to growing vegetables, herbs, even mushrooms, indoors. It includes good info, especially for this who are a bit timid about trying to grow vegetables to begin with, outdoors or indoors. I recommend everyone start with microgreens and then grow their indoor vegetable garden from there, space and light permitting. The food you grow will add a nice boost to your meals in the wintertime, especially. This book would also make a great housewarming gift, paired up with some containers and seeds, maybe even a hanging light fixture.

So why not five stars instead of four stars? Well, call me picky but several of the pictures showed pots of plants sitting on counters, etc. with nothing under them to catch the water that should flow through a well-draining pot. Add those counter protectors and this is a "five" especially for new gardeners.

great indoor gardening 28 Dec. 2014
By Tiffany - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This is a great book! I am not a beginner of outdoor gardening, but I am of indoor gardening. This book covers all the topics I was questioning and more that I didnt even know to ask. The best part is that it is written with information you will actually use. It shows you to use what is around you already without buying a lot of equipment. Also, there are no instructions for growing starfruit and persimmons, this book does not waste space giving information on things the average home won't be growing. It is little but mighty and is written with some humor. A good read.
