Product Description

Gurpareet Bains blitzed his way through a flurry of international press back in September when he created 'the world's healthiest meal'. A quite amazing claim, but one which has not yet been disputed. Nor is it likely to be. This very simple chicken curry dish captured the imagination of the media. Even Chris Evans declared it 'the best curry I've ever tasted'. Impressive, but Gurpareet's creativity extends far beyond this one dish - indeed to this extensive and life-changing collection of recipes geared towards eating much more healthily. Recognising the exceptional health-promoting properties of foods from simple spices through to berries, fruits and vegetables, Gurpareet sets out to inform us about how each recipe in this wonderful collection - via high antioxidant levels, cardiovascular health benefits and a myriad of curative properties - will help to improve our health and wellbeing. This book is set to establish itself as the health food craze of 2010.

An absolute must have 27 July 2010
By Nads
Format:Paperback
Having tried out a recipe from a newspaper article, I decided to order this book months ago so have waited patiently for its arrival. It arrived a few days ago and I'm honestly delighted, I think its fab. The book is pleasing on the eye (nothing more off putting than an unattractive book), it's sophisticated and has some really colourful and alluring pictures.

Pushing the health benefits to one side (which are a real plus for me), it was the style of cooking that really attracted me to this book. I find the style to be inventive and of a very high standard. Being a British Asian, the recipes in this book are to be proud of and are suitable for taste buds from around the globe. I've got a real diverse group of friend and can't wait to get them over for dinner.

I tested out the mango chicken last night and boy was it good. When I first read that it could challenge Chicken Tikka Masala, I thought `yea right' but I was pleasantly proved wrong, it was delicious.

Would have liked to have seen more pictures (some of them are so tantalising) but I guess that would have made it into a very bulky book.

There are so many things that I am eager to try out and don't know where to start. I thank you for kicking open this culinary door and bringing me into the world of contemporary, innovative fusion cooking, your book truly is wonderful.

This book stood out to me instantly as I love Indian food but don't often eat because it's usually very heavy fare. This book has easy to prepare recipes with many low-fat varieties of favourite Indian dishes and a great variety of new ideas (new to me, anyway). The language used is very tongue in cheek and entertaining, which makes Indian Superfood not just another cook book but a great read as well. Nutrition information supplied with every recipe too - perfect for people who like to eat good food while maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The most refreshing cook book I've seen all year.

I first came across this book, listening to BBC Asain Network where the author shares his recipes on Sonia Deol's show. Listening to just one radio program, with the recipes featured in the book I immediately went searching for it. Thank you Amazon!!!

The author has a great following from around the world. The recepies are simple and easy to follow whilst being a tasty health option.

I recommend it.

Falling apart
I've made several recipes from this book and they are excellent but its a great shame that the book itself is falling apart - all pages up to page 50 have come out. Very annoying!

Contents look great, shame about the binding
Just received this book. Content looks good but the binding is so bad it falls apart on first perusal. Real shame, because pictures/recipes/lay-out and other info look fine.
