If you are new to the world of massage or just starting out with a general interest in the subject, THIS is the book to get.....
It's consise clear and fully explains the subject in great depth, pictures are included to aid understanding and the text is well written
One can read it from cover to cover or dip in to find interesting new techniques. All aspects of massage are covered from being able to relieve stress for family and friends to setting up a business
Enjoy!

Hello,

I have enrolled on a 17 week Indian Head Massage course and bought this book to support my training. Another I was going to buy had poor reviews which highlighted inaccuracies. Well I think this suffers to some extent from the same thing and the diagrams - which you complete as a task - are not useful because you DO NOT get the correct answers shown in the book. So it is useless in that respect.

I feel that it is totally pointless asking questions if you do not provide the answers somewhere in book so that the user can check out his/her progress. Some of the descriptions relating to odd items are 'woolly' and overall I think this a is a 'dumbed down' book for yet another course which has been has pumped up just so you can get a certificate.

NOT a wise buy I'm afraid. On a good note I am enjoying the actual massage. Best wishes.

I bought this whilst studying for a VTCT course in IHM. I'd spent weeks scouring local libraries for relevant books but many disappeared from libraries. This was a really useful book to buy. It's well laid out and seems to cover everything I need. The accompanying CD is really useful with interactive questions and tasks to help me revise.

I bought this book a short while ago and absolutely love it! Helen McGuiness has covered just about everything to do with Indian Head Massage in this book. Although I haven't yet had time to read it as thoroughly as I would like (from cover to cover in detail),I have spent time looking through it and reading various passages etc. I did a course on I.H.M a while ago now and wish that I'd had this book then,as its far better than any I've seen before on this subject.I would recommend anyone studying VTCT or just wanting to brush up on their knowledge to get this, you wont be dissappointed, and I got a cd rom with it! What more can I say? fab book...buy it. Mrs G.Watson..Holistic Therapist

I am currently studying for a Diploma in Indian Head Massage and am finding this book a great help. It was given to my class as a course book by the college (city and guilds qualification). I love it, and would have given it 5 stars if I haven't had so much trouble with the attached DVD ROM; it's supposedly interactive, although I fear I will never get to see!
The DVD ROM just won't play in my Mac. I am still currently attempting to find a way to play it, and would love some assistance if anyone knows how. I will get back to update this review if I do work it out. It appears to not be Mac compatible, c'est la vie I suppose.

I am currently studying Indian Head Massage and bought this book as a result of my tutor using this book during my course. It is really easy to read, there are exercises to complete and lots of very useful help and advice. I would certainly recommend this book to anyone who is looking to start studying Indian Head Massage. Having the cd to use to complete the exercises is a really useful tool.
