I recommend this film to anyone who cares about fighting for justice in this world. The injustices inflicted upon the indeigenous peoples around the world in particular the USA's own Native American population needs everyone to join campaigns to fight for their rights. Leonard Peltier has been in prison for far too long on trumped up charges of murdering two FBI agents. Successive govts have let him down. Clinton promised to review the case but didnt. Barak Obama should be pressurised to re open the case. Everyone with even a little investigation into the case concludes that Leonard was innocent, that the FBI deliberately set him up, that the evidence was tampered with distorted by the FBI laboratory that was found to have fitted up and tampered with evidence from other trials. Even if Leonard had fired those fatal shot which he didnt, then it would have been in self defence. Please support the campaign for his release. The Native Americans in Pine Ridge also need your help. They live in third world conditions. Shame on America and americans who do nothing to help rectify the situation.

Solid, interesting, if slightly dry documentary about a shootout on a Sioux Native American reservation that
killed two FBI agents. The film follows the US government's attempt to railroad someone for the crimes, finally
succeeding with Native American Leonard Peltier, using a lot of clearly falsified evidence.

Just as interesting as the trial itself is the examination of the split between the `modern', more assimilated
Native Americans, who worked hand in hand with the US government, versus the American Indian Movement (AIM)
who were fighting to protect Native American heritage, leading to a reign of terror by the modern Native American
tribe leader.

There is one key element, the mysterious `Mister X' who supposedly confessed to the killings
that's awkwardly and strangely under-explored.

In all, this is a strong indictment of the US's dealings with it's indigenous citizens, and an interesting
look at how an oppressed group can be splintered into factions, making any attempt to fight
back that much more difficult.

This Document is a real must see! People all over the globe should hear and see this true Leonard Peltier Story.
None of my American friends could tell something about him when I mentioned his name. Sorry, but that is a historical shame! As is the whole Peltier Story. Free Leonard now!
