Review

After reading numerous so called incentive and recognition books I
came across this book. It's clear, simple and it works! We started two
incentive programs based upon ideas in this book and have had fantastic
results already. I definitely recommend it!"

The author's enthusiasm for practical motivational techniques is infectious and all the ideas and suggestions are described in a simple way, avoiding jargon and motivational theory.

The "10 rules" break down the design and delivery approach into logical chunks and are very simple to understand and repeatable. In fact, it's one of the few books I have read where the ideas can be very easily uplifted from the page and applied back in the office.

The book is extremely creative and offers an incentive approach for all sizes of budget and organisations. The appendix also includes hundreds of ideas of rewards and events to stimulate creativity in the design process. Importantly, it can be read from cover to cover very quickly which in today's 24/7 business culture is essential. I find it very time consuming to read lengthy management theory books and this book helps enormously as it is short, concise and to the point - Within 24 hours you can be putting these ideas into action !

Overall, I think the book is a very good resource for any business manager who is researching how to introduce a formal employee motivation program or just looking for ideas for informal day to day recognition.

All in all, the book is excellent - well worth the money.
