2.0 out of 5 stars CS5 Dummy review 14 Nov 2010
This book was fine but would have preferred a few more diagrams. I actually found that typing questions into google was more immediate and got replies with more diagrammatical explanations which for a 'dummy' was very useful.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not a good advert for the Dummies series 5 Oct 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
As a previous reviewer suggested, this is not the book to buy if you are new to Indesign - it reads more like a feature reference work. The organisation is poor and the author discusses advanced features like libraries before there is any mention of how to create your first document using the program. If you want a primer, the Indesign volume from the Peachpit Classroom in a Book series beats this one hands down.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not for 'Dummies' 21 May 2011
As an InDesign newby, I found this book a poor read....definitely for people with experience of InDesign or similar software.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book for noobs 9 Dec 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Very clearly unravels an insanely complicated software. Would have liked more on Print related settings but this I suppose is for beginners. So full stars.

2.0 out of 5 stars For dummies! 13 Jun 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I must be a real dummy because I still don't get it although I will keep persevering. I am sure it is a good book and a real help for people of the IT persuasion but that is just not me I am afraid.
