An interesting read taking the main characters back to the fourteenth century basically a love story spanning 7 centuries a well crafted story about a newly married American couple and their connection to 14th century Scotland also covering time travel or reincarnation depending how one reads the tale.

Not to bad. It seems a bit tame compared to the Outlander books by Gabaldon, but she has so many bulky books, that she builds up a far more complex and rich gallery of both characters and events. This seems a bit hurried, and also quite a few things similar to Outlander. It is a honeymoon, it is a old priest, men with swords and time travel problems/ love issues. But I also have to say that it's fun to read it from a male point of view, as it is the man who stumbles through the time portal. A bit slow in the beginning, it seemed quite long before something "interesting" happens, and since the book itself isn't very long, the interesting parts has to happen rather quickly. It's an allright book to read in a ainy afternoon / evening - but it will never be a classic.

The book had me gripped, couldn't put it down. The story was a "bit far fetched" with both main characters from 2013 ending up in 1333 Scotland but despite this the novel was a joy to read.
Only complaint I have is that the book sold in the UK is in "written" American not English. When would you here a Scot or anyone else from the UK telling an American that the pub is seven blocks away? Disappointing.
