The Amateur Transplants strike again, this time with an album consisting of entirely live material. It does not disappoint. There is the occasional retelling of old jokes and the playing of old songs but there is certainly a lot of fresh material, from an album point of view. Those that have seen their tour recently will see this album as more of a reminder.
I'm sure it's a fond memory, too.
If you're easily offended this album won't be for you as they poke fun at a number of stereotypes that you will find offensive. But for the light-hearted person who enjoys dark, musical comedy genius this is for you. Some of their lyrics are nothing short of genius and this is highly recommended to anyone who has enjoyed their previous stuff.
Oh and I believe that a portion of the profits goes to the Macmillan Cancer Trust. That way if you feel bad about enjoying the songs at least you know that your laughter is saving lives.
