I have every Night Garden book published (yeah, my daughter's addicted and we live in America so I stock up when I get a chance!)
I was so happy to see the new format books. First, they are soft-back which is more appropriate for toddlers and older, and means they're smaller and lighter (much easier for transatlantic flights!!). The stories are longer and more involved (like the episodes). After the story, there is a recap just like in the show using the same graphics (more cartoonish) and then the final pages are the "go to sleep..." sequence where each character is told to go to sleep and we see Iggle Piggle asleep in his boat on the last page. Every one of the new style books follows this format. I love it! My daughter prefers these to the hard-back ones.
I can highly recommend every one of the new format books. Better stories, better product (high quality printing on good, thick, durable paper), and more appropriate for slightly older Night Garden fans.
