Having bought this album on the strength of other recent Defected titles I am disappointed. There are a few good tracks here and there but no thought put into the order that they should be played. CD1 is better than CD2 which contains a lot of dreary, uninspiring repetitive spanish/brazilian samba type tunes which have flooded the bar scene over the summer. Combine this with a lot of filler tracks and you have a very average House compilation. There are much better mixes out to buy at the momment.
If you like your House, fresh and funky may I suggest you take a look at previous artist assigned 'In Your House' compilations or recent Hed Kandi realeases which offer a more definative guide to the sounds of House music today.

There are some excellent tunes on this album, problem being there are also some very medicore ones.
As a big fan of the defected label they normally asscioate themselves with the up most qualiy so this is only a three star rating by there own normally exceptinal standards.
The problem is in my opoinon is that the "funky" house saound is massive at the moment that generally means more tunes and standerds slip.
This said however there are some great moments stand out tracks for me strangly enough they mix into each other.

i bought this cd a while ago now and all i can say is that there are a right mix of tunes, they are feel good tunes mixed in with some classic house tunes, i say classic but before long they will be! i recently bought it on vinyl too, i reccomend this to anyone with a taste for some house music with a good funky feel to it. top tunes include pressure cooker and funky planet!

I bought this CD 3 weeks ago. I have not stopped playing it since then, a good variety of soulfull house music. Good stuff to listen before you go out clubbing. Highly recommended.
