Vittorio Grigolo has the voice to explode every preconception about classical music. Warm, resonant and uniquely expressive, his singing hauls down the barriers which have sprung up between the worlds of opera and pop.
Vittorio has been a fixture on the international opera scene for half his life, performing in Japan, America and all points between. Born in Rome, he began to sing with the Sistine Chapel Choir when he was just nine years old. A couple of years later, not yet into his teens, he was invited to sing Tosca with Pavarotti.
"Il Pavarottino", as the Italian press quickly dubbed him, joined the Vienna opera company and, at 23, Vittorio became the youngest Italian tenor ever to sing at Milan’s La Scala.
After flirting with a career in motor racing he returned to opera and now, for the first time, Vittorio’s voice can be heard on record. His debut album, In The Hands of Love, contains 14 totally unique pieces of music. Not pop, not opera, but all infused with the passion, raw emotion and sheer beauty of Vittorio’s incredible voice.

I'm a great pop classical music fan and I have to say I really got my money's worth with that one! Boy can this guy sing! The album is a fantastic mixture of spanish, classical and atmospheric music, it's the perfect balance between words and sounds,Vittorio's voice is never agressive and his tone is smooth like a cappucino!
Now that's a record I'll gladly listen to with my girlfriend!

and 'Maria' is just one of the beautifully performed songs on this amazing album. Vittorio has the most exquisite voice, combining subtlety and passion. I love Keane's 'Bedshaped' anyway and this stunning new interpretation is superb. This is an album that you'll want to keep playing over and over again, and each time you'll be more impressed than before. Magical.

I don't think I've stopped playing this CD since it arrived....and I have not 'tired of the sameiness' of it. I pre-ordered it after hearing clips on his music site. He's covered a variety of songs ranging from opera to Daniel Bedingfield to Stevie Wonder to Keane and does a wonderful duet with Katherine Jenkins. He's a classically trained opera singer and has a beautiful voice and I think he's done a brilliant job with every song. I can't wait to hear the next album!!!

Beautiful voice but...
He has such beautiful voice but I think his voice is better suited to operatic songs. I would love to buy a CD with popular operatic songs.
