The most interesting thing about IN SEASON is the author's personal tales relative to each of the principal ingredients about which he writes. It is more than a cookbook, it is fascinating personal epoch which draws you in and keeps your interest, all the while giving good advice and recipes about Northwest products.

Greg Atkinson is one of the best chefs in the business. He is also an accomplished and talented writer. Not only do you get awesome recipes you also get to know him through experiences he shares with food in his book. If you get a chance eat at his restuarant on Bainbridge Island (a short ferry ride then short walk from Seattle).
