An excellent find, for lovers of the Vespa!
Basically, someone paid scooter-restorer Neil White to go to Italy, and have the time of his life -showing us sights and scenery from Piaggio country. He's obviously enjoying himself and his enthusiasm for the subject matter clearly shows through in the film.
The film starts off at an Italian scooter jumble, high in the hills, where Neil takes us round some of the stock available, letting us in on various trade secrets and tips on restoration of old Vespas.
Along the way, we also get to see some local Italian people with private collections.
Next, we visit the factory (in Piaggio Street, where else!), where Vespa's have been made for the last 50 years, looking at the industrial heart of the worldwide scooter scene -followed by a trip round the hallowed halls of the Piaggio Museum -which as you can imagine, has everything Vespa orientated that you'd EVER want to see, including famous racing Vespas, wartime Vespas and every model ever produced.
Finally, Neil gets to ride out in the hillsides, with a group of local Vespa-enthusiasts, on a vintage scooter, witnessing some great Italian scenery on the way, the lucky so-and-so!!!
All in all, a worthy purchase for anyone interested in older Vespa scooters (the bias is towards 50's models, but plenty of others get a look in!), intercut with vintage TV/cinema scooter ads.
