Well, this is certainly different. The sound is rather surfy, encorporating the best of 80's novelty act Camper Van Beethoven, with the more psychedelic vibes of Built To Spill. In particular, the guitar riffs and some vocals are Doug Marsch-esque. The rich vocals are recieved, smooth and clear, and even childlike, but in a positive sense. I would compare some of the gentler tracks to The Thrills, or even, (in a curious, yet, not a bad way) The Beach Boys.
This is a departure from Saves The Day familiarity, however, it works. The £10 I paid for this record was certainly value for money considering the bundle i got with the cd.
A worthy addition to my CD collection.
