Oddly enough, a good number of Lacuna Coil fans dislike this album, whereas I think it's one of their best. The vocals are perfect in all songs, and, yes, the lyrics can sometimes be a little obscure, but they can be understood with some thought.
1. Circle - Introduces the style of this album, but otherwise quite bland. Not bad for an opening. 7/10
2. Stately Lover - The album really kicks off with the constrast of Scabbia's begging vocals and Ferro's disdainful delivery being a highlight. 9/10
3. Honeymoon Suite - Similar to the previous song but slightly more upbeat. Lyrics seem to lack the emotion of the previous song. 7.5/10
4. My Wings - Urgent and fast paced, some great tempo changes here. Very accomplished. 8/10
5. To Myself I Turned - An absolute gem. Cristina's vocals are out of the world. The lyrics are excellent here, and the instrumentation is such that you can practically hear the girl's world crashing down around her. Can seem repetetive at first, but after a few listens you won't even notice. 10/10
6. Cold - Uplifing and more great tempo changes. 9/10
7. Reverie - Fantatsic lyrics and Cristina's vocals are backed up perfectly by Ferro. Six minutes pass before you know it. 10/10
8. Veins of Glass - Great mood and emotion portrayed in this song. 8/10
9. Falling Again - A remake of a previous song of the band's, I find this version better executed. Beautiful lyrics and once again Scabbia shows us just what she can do. Stunning. 10/10
Overall, it's a wonderful album and my review probably doesn't do it justice. Listen to it, and lose yourself in another world.
