3.0 out of 5 stars Little Books for little Hands 31 Aug 2009
Format:Board book
My 13 month old daughter loves these little books and takes them everywhere with her, she can hold them comfortably and they have little stories you can work with and use there imagination - the size and the fact that they are hardback is good - they are looking a little tatty though after 2 months of being toted everywhere!.

4.0 out of 5 stars Teeny tiny books just right for teeny tiny hands! 25 July 2010
Format:Board book
My 14 month old son has recently become obsessed with In the Night Garden so this set of little books was ideal for taking with us on holiday. Nice small size so they didn't take up too much space and just right for his little hands to hold.

I would say that the box these small board books come in is a little flimsy as within a week of purchasing my son had managed to bite a rather large hole in it! He is teething though so is gnawing on anything he can get his hands on!

So, the stories are pretty short but are actually just right for my son at the moment. He enjoys turning the pages so you just about get time to read each page before he turns it over : ) They feature all of the characters from the programme (even the Wottingers!) within six books: Igglepiggle, Upsy Daisy, Tombliboos, Pinky Ponk and Ninky Nonk , Makka Pakka and Pontipines.

Overall, I would say that these books are great value for money. They could be made from sturdier board but for the price you really can't complain too much. If it was up to my son I'm sure he would give them the full five stars but I've knocked one off for the quality of materials.

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent product 19 Jan 2010
Format:Board book
My son loves it. He is 2 years old and spends a lot of time "talking" to the figures. The books are pretty and resist well to the usual handling of a two year old boy. A must buy for this age.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not very robust, but children love them. 1 Oct 2009
Format:Board book
My daughter is 14 months and has recently become obsessed with the Night Garden, so I bought her this little library to look at with her during the program.

She absolutely loves the books. They have lovely pictures are are just right for little hands BUT they are not robust at all. Within two days, and only getting them out three times a day, they are full of bite marks and the paper is peeling off the board. Also, as soon as she opened them the first time it was obvious that the spine is quite weak. The print has also stuck together at the spine and pulls off as you open the pages for the first time too, but it doesnt affect the main parts of the picture so she doesnt notice.

In all, I think they are lovely and my daughter certainly adores them. She runs to get them whenever the program is on now so we can talk about it together.

4.0 out of 5 stars Value for money 5 Jan 2012
By Noddy
Format:Board book|Verified Purchase
Value for money & a handy size for small hands!! The stories & pictures are just right as my grandson has a very short attention span at the moment but is quite happy to sit & let me read through all six at one sitting!! I can't comment on the durability as he has only owned this library since christmas but at least he can't tear the pages!! I would recommend this item!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for nappy changes! 29 Sep 2009
By Carl H
Format:Board book
No not as a substitute for a nappy, but when the kids need distracting (we have twins , so they need a lot of professional distracting) during nappy change, these are a great size for them to hold and of coarse they remind them of their favorite Tv programme. Also great for car journeys.

5.0 out of 5 stars In The Night Garden Little Library 9 Mar 2014

Our granddaughter absolutely loves these little books. She enjoys the stories. She enjoys putting them in and out of their little box, and the pictures on the back cover fit together to make a large picture.
