As a military history enthusiast I loved this three-parter, but I think it would appeal to anyone with an interest in the shaping of a military genius. The presenter, leading Nelson scholar Colin White, explores his personal life from his birth in Norfolk through to his death on the HMS Victory, as well as charting his naval career. I found this series to be really informative, and thoroughly enjoyable - taught me plenty that I didn't know, and I thought I knew alot!

Great naval history 24 Jun 2009
By Sally
Anyone with an interest in maritime history would do well to take a look at this series about Lord Nelson, fittingly presented by Colin White of the Royal Naval Museum. He really knows his stuff and is clearly a great aficionado. White's description of the Battle of Trafalgar is gripping and his recounting of Nelson's death, extremely moving.
