Amazon Verified Purchase
a competent cast, gentle humour and uncomplicated plots, sheer enjoyment from Dame Thora Hurd, they really do not make them like this any more. This series has not been repeated on television for many years, I did think that i may have imagined it to be better that it is, but no it is as enjoyable as it ever was and being set in the 1920's/1930's it has not dated at all. Well worth a look.

Haven't seen the whole series before, really good, clean fun with a grand Yorkshire sense of humour - worth every penny.
