The sound of discontent indeed!
What a way for the original line up to step up to the plate. This is a superb EP and more akin to KJ of old than the last couple of albums. But then every KJ effort sounds different to the last. This is a raw and in your face collection of songs but they are all incredibly catchy with great socially aware lyrics, as usual. Endgame has to be one of the best KJ songs in decades and I can't wait to hear it live. If anyone had trebidation that bringing Youth and Paul back into the mix was just a nostalgia trip that would create something soft and lackluster like most reunion cash grabbing exercises, how wrong you were. There are new bands out there at the moment that could never reach half the ferocious energy and bile that this collection of songs puts across. All hail the mighty joke 'A three dimensional screening of the end of the world.' Absolute quality!

i completely agree with the other review.this is fantastic,i could go on for days, but won't.simply put, this has the anger and sound of the "modern" k.j,but as played by the original line up! heaven on earth! just buy it,it's amazing.

First record with the original lineup of the band in almost 30 years. Not as immediately heavy (in a metal context) as the last couple of records but with the original rythym section back in place it wasn't going to be like that anyway (although there are 2 or 3 songs which would be at home on KJ2003 or the Hosannas record).

It has the stylistic signatures of the sound the band had when they first came to prominence in the UK post-punk era but with a totally up to date sound. Jaz actually does more of what you'd call singing on this record than he has in a long time but still does his guttural shouty voice at points too. Geordie's chunky yet jangly guitar sounds as distinct as ever. Youth's basslines are meaty and there's a lot of dub influenced playing (Check out Ghosts Of Ladbroke Grove) and Big Paul pounds the skins like only he can.

There may be a lot of older KJ fans who loved the bands earlier work but got turned off a bit when they took their sound in a slightly heavier metal and industrial direction but I think that this record will appeal to them a lot.
