I had reservations about purchasing this, given the mixed reviews on Amazon.com. Having now watched this a couple of times, I am glad I went with my instincts. Like previous reviewers, I'm not sure about Mary J Blige's involvement but I have seen her give worse performances in the past.
Always good to see Dylan and the 2 songs picked from the few he sang on the night are decent, especially the Clapton duet on Crossroads. Plenty of other highlights, Little Wing stands out as maybe the performance of the evening.
Clapton's performance is fantastic, as is his entire band, especially during the main segment starting with tears in heaven.
Just for the record, we get the electric version of Layla which is nice for those who already have the Hyde Park Concert. This version is also superior to that available on Party In The Palace, maybe its the clarity of the guitar. (I'm not sure if Clapton's current 'rainbow' model does his solo's justice)
In my opinion the version of Sunshine Of Your Love, is the best solo performance I have seen Clapton give of a Cream song (based on all previous recorded concerts excluding 'One more car...)
Put aside any doubts you may have about the involvement of some of the guest performers and buy this, you'll be missing out if you don't.

This is a great concert, one of the best performances I have seen with EC! EC and all the musicians are happy and relaxed, they really enjoy playing, and that includes Bob Dylan.
Awesome versions of classics like Little Wing, Layla and Sunshine of Your Love, just to name a few.
Sheryl Crow's two songs are great stuff too, as is her vocals on Little Wing.
The only thing I dont like on this DVD is Mary J Blige, I dont like her music and I dont like her performance... Sorry Mary

This DVD is truely amazing. If you are a Clapton fan you will agree that this is one of his best concerts... he smiles the whole way though clearly enjoying himself. The transfer is good but the DD5.1 mix provided on the disc is what makes this one sooo good - crisp digital sound with strong bass makes it feel like you are actually at the concert. The only 'improvement' I'd like to have seen is the removal of Mary J. Blige - she doesn't fit into the scheme of things at this concert, but I guess Eric likes her. Buy it - it's wicked!
