Golly chaps and memshibs this seems to be just what the old medic ordered. A platter full of top tunes and sparking vocals, and not a guitar solo in sight. "Sunday Driver" are floating on a cloud of steam and incense, folky bits and sometimes hints of Kate Bush. This album is like drinking tea that has been filtered through Absinthe whilst your airship drifts into clockwork erehwon.
Is it steampunk?, who cares, I think it is but then this is just my little review. All I really know is that "In The City Of Dreadful Night" ticks all the boxes. It is my most played album at the moment and I look forward to its follow-up. Bless you "Sunday Driver".
