I find this book so inspiring! The author is so down to earth and funny - she may be a very spiritual person on a spiritual path but she portrays herself just like you or I. I was left feeling that if she can do this buddhist lark, then so can I! For the first time, I really sensed buddhism as a path and not a goal to achieve. Sure there are goals, but it's the path that counts. Whether you aspire to buddhism or not, this is a funny and interesting nose into someone else's experiences (why else do we like autobiographies if not to be nosey?!). It is more autobiographical than a buddhist instruction book, which was fine by me, but if you're looking for in depth information then this may not be the book for you. An interest in food helps and I'm sure cooks would enjoy this book just as much as spiritual seekers. If, like me, the two feature pretty high on your interest list, along with a good sense of humour, then give this light and easy read a go.
