michael weaver has written an absolute thriller masterpiece. i picked this book up at an airport on my way on holiday and read it in one sitting. the plot is slick and the characters develop extremely well throughout. william meade is the essence of evil and you are quickly rushed throuh a roller coaster ride of paul garret's revenge. once again an "unputdownable" book which i will keep in my collection and read over and over.

This book had me on the edge of my seat throughout. I couldn't put it down! From the first few pages you are hooked into the lives of Paul Garret AND the killer. Weaver has a no nonsense style which brings you into the midst of the story straight away. Read and enjoy!!

great book 15 Feb 2000
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Mass Market Paperback
It is too bad this author hasn't gained nation exposure. Although his two follow up books were not as good as this one, I consider him one of the best around. Impulse is one of the best thrillers I have read. The characters are real. The path to finding the killer is logical and exciting. The writing is fluid and easy to get into. I recommend this book to anybody who is interested in a good read. I only wish Weaver could hit the big time because his writing is ten times better that the junk put out by guys like Dean Koontz and Lescort.

Wow! Couldn't Put It Down 17 July 2002
By fjmcmm - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Mass Market Paperback
This is absolutely one of the best novels I've ever read. You will not be able to put it down. Kind of perverted, sick and twisted, but if suspense and thrill is what you seek, look no further. An edge of your seat read. Highly recommend.

Wow! A gripping suspense story - not for faint of heart 10 Jan 2001

This is a great read. Wouldn't recommend it to those are disgusted to read about perversion. But if you don't mind some of that, it's a very good story - classic "hard to put down" book.
