Ishizaki presents an articulate description of decentralized dynamic design systems in a manner easy enough for a complete luddite to understand. The book makes no direct technical references (although it does present algorithms in a formal language invented by the author consisting of English words), but the fundamentals of the design process are easily implemented on any design project. The chapters go quite quickly, and I found myself highlighting at least one paragraph per page. If you are a designer working with any dynamic information system, you should definitely invest in this book. I've been practicing many of these fundamentals without knowing about it, and now I have the knowledge and terminology to articulate the ideas behind my projects.
