I borrowed this textbook from the library at the college where I teach students on the Foundation Degree in Counselling. It is true to state that there are many books which offer the same information, but none have the variety of interesting and useful material in such an accesible format, at such a reasonable price. The outcome was that I realised that this was a book I needed to own and recommend to students on a regular basis. In my experience the most common enquiries arising with adult learners focus on the completion of assignments. This book will answer such thorny issues as what do I have to do to achieve better marks? What are the proper conventions for referencing and what could I have used instead? Whether lecturer or student don't hesitate just buy this book, you won't regret it for a moment.
Purchasing from Amazon was the usual pleasurable experience with reliable delivery.

I have to admit that I used to struggle with writing my assignments at the university. It was always pain in the neck to search for relevant materials, plan the essay, and finally, write it. I was puzzled by not very good marks, and "mysterious" feedback from my lecturers. This book was, in fact, life (or staying on the course) saver. It is written straight to the point, every chapter deals with one feedback from a teacher, as "You have not answered the question", "Your work is poorly structured", "Your work is more descriptive than critical" and so on. There is no need to read the whole book from the cover to the cover, just jump to the chapter which is the most relevant to your essay, and its feedback from the lecturer. The best money ever spent on the study skills book! I couldn't reccommend it more!

This book has enabled me to seek new ways in which I can improve my assignment results at university. It has given me some great tips and advice which I will be able to apply to my exams in the future. As always, a publisher that does not disappoint with their books!

I would expect this quality form a used slightly damaged book. The edges were worn and some the pages were creased. Not that impressed for the price I paid.
