I have owned this game for two days now and have dedicated quite a few hours to it. It is a simple game to get in to, the gameplay is easy to pick up and remains fairly easy throughout. I normally like a challenge in my games but nonetheless Imperium Romanum is still incredibily fun. There are literally dozens of scenarios so despite the ease you do still get some decent gaming time out of it.I would say this game is quite similiar to Settlers in that you develop a colony and then have to provide resources for your people, selling the excess to make money. The graphics are very slick and the game runs without any glitches on my low-end machine. This game is not for those who are after a Roman military experience as the combat involved in this game is limited at best.

This is an excellent game for kids 7 up (and mums too!) the details are great, the scenarios are interesting and the variety of game play realistic and fun.Lots of challenges and interaction. My son got it aged 8 and we all played it for a while before getting bored as you do. Now he has got right back into it again.
