Product Description

Product Description

The Imperia Pasta Wooden Drying Stand is the natural way for drying pasta such as lasagne, spaghetti, tagliatelle, linguine and capellini. It is simple to assemble and has twelve arms to spread the pasta across, allowing it to dry thoroughly before use. Dimension: 33cm x 30cm

Manufacturer's Description

This Imperia Beechwod Pasta Stand is the best way to dry sheets of pasta, spaghetti and tagliatelle that have been made with a pasta machine. This simple device consists of four brackets with three arms on each, and allows plenty of air to circulate around the fresh pasta. We would advise that this item is washed by hand and dried thoroughly before being stored.

Complete tack. Doesn't fit together properly. Wobbles all the time. It's FAR too small to be of any use. Too low, not enough space on the dowel "arms", even if they decide not to drop off! The wood is probably worth less than 50p. The concept, if it on a much grander scale i.e. 6 times bigger and of a much higher quality, would be great. Alas, this isn't the case. The only way it is of any use (to me, at least) is to sprawl as many strands of pasta as possible across the whole of the top surface but even then, with the pasta hanging down over each side, you have to cut the strands short enough so as not to touch the work-top. Also, I find it impossible to fit more than one (modest) portion of pasta on this contraption at any one time. In a word : useless. I gave it one star purely because the parts that don't drop off can easily be pulled off and used to kindle a BBQ. I now use a piece of string hanging between two cupboards. I can now dry at least 8 portions at a time, for 1p!!! Don't make the mistake I did... It looks pretty good on the screen but, in my opinion, that's where it should stay.

This drying stand is not worth the price! It came in a box, we set it up and I did not hold right, the pins do not fit properly and are released from time to time. It fulfills its function of drying pasta partially because it is not very tall so if you decide for long pasta it does not work very well. I would not buy it again.

This pasta drying stand is very helpful. The alternative is to lay home made pasta onto floured wooden surfaces or on towels. The stand takes up less space when making even small amounts of pasta and allows all of the pasta surface to be exposed to the air. It can be helpful to dry the pasta sheets a little before cutting too. The wooden pegs slide out to allow hanging cut long pasta to be quickly dropped into boiling water by sliding the pasta straight off without further handling. Easy assembly allows quick use and disassembly allows quick storage.

I think the image doesn't honors the product. It does perfectly what it is built for, but once you have mounted it you'd better not dismount it because it has no metallic nuts or screws, everything is wood on wood, and i must say, bad cheap wood that looks like it is going to broke. You'd better buy a more expensive but more usefull like the "Tacapasta" that at list you could easily unmount and store in a kitchen cabinet or drawer.

This is a good gizmo and perfect for the purpose, although a bit pricey for some machine cut bits of wood in my view. I used to ram wooden spoons into kitchen drawers but now my tagliatelle hangs safely and dries properly. There are two small challenges about this item, it's a nuisance to store because it takes up lots of room and the push and plug fit for the poles are too loose so I had to get the wood glue out, other than that it's a winner.

Very useful if you make a lot of pasta. Without it, the cut pasta takes up a lot of room on trays and tends to stick together. The only drawback is the space taken for storage. If you can make room for it then pasta making is a lot more straightforward.

This is really more for my wife than me since I only make the dough etc. She does the artistic bits, but assures me that this is a great help in her kitchen.

We eat quite a lot of delicious Italian dishes so this will get plenty of use.

Does what it says. The arms are removable for ease of fitting on the pasta and for cleaning, (we just wipe them with a dry cloth). The only problem is storage; it is a little tall for most cupboards and takes up a lot of cupboard space.
