5.0 out of 5 stars Immortal Protector (Eternity Covenant #1) 12 Sep 2009

Great read, action-oriented paranormal romance. The book has page turning action, interesting characters, a complex background and lots of sexual tension.

The heroine is drawn into a world where all the 'mythological' pantheons exist side-by-side. That world exists in a 'Cold War' state where subtle tries for power constantly ripple below the relatively peaceful surface. The heroine is caught in one of those ripples...

The hero is sent to kill her to protect the balance of power. He becomes suspicious that someone has muddied the situation and decides to keep her alive.

My favorite part?
Heroine: Isn't there some kind of guidelines about all this I could read?
Hero: Sure, everything from fairy tales to grimoires.
Heroine: Isn't there like an abridged edition?
Hero: The gods like to keep things sketchy...

There's a directly connected sequel: Immortal Illusions.

5.0 out of 5 stars Immortal Protector 2 Mar 2012

I really enjoyed the unique and intriguing storyline of this book. It was full of action, suspense, humor and romance combined. I like nothing more than to see a strong leading lady next to her hero and the author did not disappoint in this book.

Gideon, the immortal soldier who is willing to risk everything for justice and to maintain the balance between good versus evil. Meg, the heroine whose life is on the line as well as the fate of the world. The two together must work to discover the truth before it's too late!

What a breath of fresh air this book was in the Paranormal arena.

5.0 out of 5 stars Strong paranormal romance 24 Aug 2011
By Dana Taylor - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book caught my eye on the Kindle Boards threads. Bauer delivers a strong paranormal romance with a solid sense of world-building, romance, sexuality and action. She creates an alternate dimension of Gods based on the Egyptian myths and has them co-mingling in present reality. The bad guys are demons and zombies destroyed by the Immortal Protector, Gideon. Doctor Meg is the key to saving the universe and must be protected. It's a diverting read and a cut above many of the paranormals floating around. First in a series that looks promising.
