I picked up his second book "Stripped" last Christmas at the Copenhagen Airport before flying to London. I read that book in one go and immediately ordered his first which I'm reviewing here right now. It has a good fast pacing story with well described scenaries and persons in the sin city of Las Vegas.

When you as a man read about the gorgeous female main character detective Serena Dial partner and lover of the main male character detective Jonathan Stride you just wish to be him for one long day.

However, what really makes his story telling so unique is its smooth flow of the way Brian Freeman is building up the story.

It is like the delicious taste of Belgian chocolate mixed with a little bit chili to spice everything up and not make it all too sweet. You get absorbed in this thriller because it give you a such a good feeling reading it - it is so well written. Only a very few crime authors have this truly rare gift like e.g. Lee Child, Glenville Lovell ("Too Beautiful to Die") or Barry Eisler (the John Rain series) of almost "gripping" you by the b**** and not letting go before you have read it all.

Even then you feel the loss of having finished the book and wish for at least 200 more pages.

I have pre-ordered his next "Stalked", which is published in September this year. I have too - as I'm hooked!

First class book from a first time crime writer. Amazing pace throughout. Kept me wondering until the end. Looking forward to his next book out in october. A fabulous book that allows Brian Freeman to be up beside the big crime writers. Excellent.

Cracking Debut. 9 Mar 2006

A fabulous first attempt from this obviously gifted new talent. The pace never lets up and the plot never stretches credulity - a fault I find all too common in thrillers these days - this plot comes straight from any newspaper you could pick up. The characters are well drawn and the humour dark and utterly believable. I should have given this 5 stars but still cannot believe it is a first attempt!!
