Helps Improve Listening Skills 13 April 2004
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
I listened to these cds after working my way through another Basic-Intermediate Italian book & tapes. They really helped to improve my listening skills. The dialogues are repeated three times: fast-slow-fast, and there is a booklet which contains the text both in Italian & English. The dialogues are interesting, often funny, and have a wide range of vocabulary and colloquial expressions. Very useful.

Excellent practice tool 27 Nov. 2007

In short, it is a very good practice for the advanced student. The idea of repeating the same dialog, first at (almost) normal conversation speed, then slower and then again like the first time, is good. You will listen to several different voices, male and female, young and older, etc. The speed of the "normal" conversation is, in some of the dialogs, still slower than the speed that most Italians will talk in real life, but that doesn't detract from the usefulness of the dialogs. Of course you shouldn't read the dialog prior to listening to it, even more than once. Only then look for the unknown or new words - if any - in the dictionary. Used like that it can help with comprehension a lot. I wish they would come up with another - even more advanced set.
Great Way to Improve Your Italian 13 Feb. 2009
By L. Castro - Published on Amazon.com
ImmersionPlus Italian is helping me improve my fluency in Italian. I've enjoyed the dialogs, and have found it easier to "listen and repeat". The price was great too!
