I saw this movie for FREE on my Samsung UE46D7000 HD 3D TV via Samsung Smart Hub - where you can view this film and several of the other "Imax" 3D blu-rays you can purchase from Amazon as well.

Starring a young Michael Cera (of Scott Pilgim) - the story details a young boy Zac, who dreams of flying, and spends most of his time building "flying machines" - none of which prove to be successful. Years go by and he is now a pilot for Air Combat Canada - an aerobatics team, and is currently teaching his best friend (and secret love of his life) how to fly. Soon, Zac is challenged to an aerial dogfight over the grand canyon by some guy they met once before when they were children....

Yeah so, the rest of the story is pretty much "the dogfight" which isn't really impressive.

As a film, it's awful. The acting is so mechanical and unbelievable, and as a showcase of 3D - it doesn't really do much to "wow" in the that sense either.

Don't waste your money. If you are curious, and you have a samsung TV - then check it out for free - but failing that, don't bother. Really, i'm doing you a favour.

1. The video is hardly for 37 minutes (which is not specified on the advertisment), out of which hardly any ultimate G's (couple of flying acrobats ar ok but how much can you expect from those little planes)

2. Cover shows three planes flying, but throughout the movie there are never more than two doing the acrobats.

It is not worth it. The only good think about it was the picture of the cover. That's why I bought it. As a 3d film there are much more better choices.

Please note that this is a very short film... Not sure what kind of film they tried to make here. The storyline is B film type level and the flying scenes are not very special. Disappointing...

Having just watched this picture and read the mostly negative reviews I felt compelled to write a short review which provides some balance. As a pilot you could say I am more likely to enjoy such a film; but there really is a lot worse out there. It isn't very long, and yes the acting is hardly Academy award winning; but you know what; it's a nice story. The first half of the film follows the main character (Zac) as a young boy attempting to fulfil his dream of flying by building his own aeroplane; the second half follows him as a young man flying as an aerobatics instructor wooing his childhood girlfriend (and budding aero-engineer accomplice; "Laura") by way of flying lessons and a "Grease" style high-octane flying duel with another pilot vying for Laura's affections. The duel takes place through the Grand Canyon - and there really are some great sequences.

I strongly disagree with the other reviews citing the poor cinematography - I thought the flying sequences were fantastic and made good use of 3D.

If your only idea of a good 3D movie is monsters/animals/inanimate objects jumping out of the screen at you every 10 seconds; you will be disappointed. But if you are looking for a nice, innocent movie which makes subtle but effective use of 3D - and a movie you can watch with kids of any age; you can't go wrong here.
