LIKE THE THEATER DISTRICTS OF so many great cities across the Imajica, whether in Reconciled Dominions or in the Fifth, the neighborhood in which the Ipse stood had been a place of some notoriety in earlier times, when actors of both sexes had supplemented their wages with the old fiveacter-hiring, retiring, seduction, conjunction, and remittance-all played hourly, night and day. Read the first page

Format:Mass Market Paperback
This is the second part of the staggeringly ambitious and awe-inspiring fantasy book 'Imajica', in which the Maestro rediscovers his legacy and attempts to bring together the five realms ('dominions') of the Imajica, of which Earth (specifically, England) is the long-lost fifth dominion.

For more in-depth reviews, look up 'Imajica' itself, as a single volume. That would be my recommended purchase. Book I and II are simply the original book split into two at an arbitrary point in the middle of the story (for those who know it, the description of the Ipse is the first chapter of book II).

If you have the original complete book (more than 1000 pages), then don't make the mistake of thinking this is a sequel. From Amazon's recommendations it looks like several people have.

In this, the second half of Imajica, we find Gentle venturing to see the First Dominion, where the fabled Happexamendios (God), is supposed to reside. Wonderfully odd perspective on men, the way they think, and the psychology of a god created and worshipped by men. Such fresh ideas could only come from someone outside looking in, as Clive Barker is a classic example. (Intended as a compliment.)

Imajica 2 27 Jun 2009
Format:Mass Market Paperback
It was very cheap, so I bought it, not sure if it was a follow up to Imajica. Imajica is a fabulous, fantastic, wonderful, mystical and magical book I read many years ago.
When the book came, I realised it was the second half of the book I've already read. Apparently the original, that I read in hardback was too long to be in a paperback, so they made it into 2 books.
There is a nice, interesting introduction by Clive Barker at the start which I enjoyed reading, but apart from that, for me it was a waste of (in fairness not very much!) money.
