This was one of those books that I just could not put down. The story of Shay Hilton and Braxton Steele gipped me from page one and demanded my attention from start to finish. Without spoiling the story this book concentrates on the murder of Shay's ex-fiance of which she is accused. Braxton the District Attorney and Shay fall helplessly in love at first sight and he fights to help clear her name. It is a real who done it type book and if you are anything like me, you will find your murder suspect constantly changing, right until near the end of the story. Even then there is a little twist in the tale, and not quite as straight forward as you would expect. I found this book very well written with a touch of jealousy, suspence and lots spicy sections scattered throughout. In this book there are quite a few characters therefore the story concentates on every one and not just Shay and Braxton. You will find how the title of the book fits in as you read through, and Mr Steele explains his true love. I would like to see this story continued in a follow on book, so that we know what became of everyone else and how they handled their problems.

5.0 out of 5 stars Magnificent! 25 Jun 2000
By B. J. Woodbury - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback
I am a true fan of Loure' Bussey's work, having read all of her books. She has become one of my most favorite authors in this genre'. After completing this book in one day, I must say she has elevated to another level in her gift of writing. I know everyone has their own opinion of what they expect when reading books, I gather that when reading reviews on amazon. We can have high expectations on these authors, and when they don't meet up to the readers point the reviews can sometimes become uncomfortable for me to even read. So my review of this book is from my point of view of how it impacted me personally.

"Images of Ecstasy" is a one day read, the author waste no time getting the reader into the plot, the characters, both major and minor ones are throughly indentified, the plot provides much dialogue between the heroine and hero (Braxton Steele and Shay Hilton) and the contribution of the minor characters. The book offers a sense of reality, I mean often some stories makes readers seem its too far fetched to happen in real life, well the author surely found an extremely developed plot, because all while I was reading, I saw this as happening for real. I laughed so hard at some of the drama events that take place in this story, especially between the minor characters of Rakim (Shay's brother), Christina (Shay's best friend) and Janet (Rakim's wife). The major characters, Shay and Braxton..WOW, I enjoyed how these two meet for the first time, how much they know about each other and reading how the author develops this relationship. It becomes obvious that they are soul-mates. Boy, did I love how Braxton treated Shay..uhm he was good ladies, a sweetheart and a risk-taker I must say. But you got to read the book to find out more about Braxton Steele, Mr. District Attorney, you won't be disappointed.

Loure', this is your best work I have read and proud that you allowed the divine force to move through you as you wrote this one. I can't wait to see what songs you write from this book.

Readers of romance, check this book out, I believe you will enjoy this, its full of intimacy, murder, guess-who-done-it, suspense, lots of laughs, surprises, a one-day-read and just a good book period. Thanks Loure' for acknowledging me in this book, I am humbled by that gesture but it has indeed been a pleasure to share in all of your endeavors.

Check out some the rest of Loure' Bussey's books: A Taste of Love, Love So True, Twist of Fate, Most of All and Nightfall.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not-A-Romance-But-A-Love-Story 21 Mar 2001
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Images of Ecstasy is a not too brief, but could of definitely lasted a few more chapters, amazingly take-your-breath-away love story. Like a highly-rated rollercoaster, "Images" gradually gains speed, drops down deeply into murder, creeps along carefully with mystery, pinnacles straight up with some sensual and sizzling romance and expertly twists you with several over and under turns of several possible suspects. Shay Hilton and Braxton Steele are a couple destined for love however, they must uncover the identity of the murderer, to keep Shay out of jail and in Braxton's or Shay's bed. This ride eventually settles you into a surprisingly pleasant ending. Loure Bussey's best love story to-date.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ecstacy When You Lay Down Next To Me! 28 Jun 2000
By Sean D. Young - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Shay Hilton had made a name for herself. A very accomplished magazine editor. She had started her magazine Love and Relationships. It was a very informative paper, but the very thing she always wrote about was missing from her life.

Shay had suffered the ulitmate betrayal by her fiance. She vowed never to love another man again.

Braxton was the District Attorney and very interested in Shay Hilton. Ironically he meets her the night her ex-fiance is murdered.

This book was interesting. The mystery of who done it was intense. As soon as I thought I had it figured out, I found out I was wrong.

The relationship between the hero and heroine was electric to say the least. The secondary characters really added to the book. I would love to see what happened to Shay's brother and her best friend. Maybe Ms. Bussey will think about a sequel.
