I was inspired to write this book because after years of being unhappy with the way I looked and my escalating weight. I finally found the courage and motivation to do something about it; I want to share the process that I used with you because if I can do it then so can you.

By applying the tools in this book to my everyday life, I have already dropped 35 pounds of fat from my body and have kept it off for over 2 years without any real effort. I now understand that I don’t have to be hungry or go without to be slim and healthy. Exercising has become a joy that I look forward to doing most days because I cherish the ‘me time’ and actually miss it, if for any reason I can’t do it.

This is not a diet book, it doesn’t give step-by-step instructions on how to drop a dress size, lose weight or layout rigorous workout plans, although I do go into some depth on these subjects and I give examples of low-impact achievable exercises that you will be able to do. The book isn’t full of diet recipes because if you follow the guidance in here you won’t need them; this book is about balance not denial. I do give you one recipe for a thick, filling and nutritious soup that you can eat at anytime and my family loves it.

This book will help you take control of your weight; give you the strength and motivation to carry on with the suggestions in it, without joining a gym or eating expensive specialist diet food and drinks.

I give to you proven hints and tips that I used to get and stay fit and healthy. It’s a common sense guide and everyone should already be following it but we’re not. So if for no other reason than confirming what you already know or a memory jogger I urge you to give this a go.

Hi my name is Hollie and I'm very pleased to meet you. The picture is of me taken recently on a holiday in France. I'm married with 2 grown children and 4 grandchildren, 1 boy and 3 girls and between them they certainly keep us busy!

I have been reading all the other Author pages on Amazon and they are very glamorous quite unlike my own life. I have worked as an IT Trainer for the last 25 years and I have no formal qualifications to write a book on weight loss. I do not have any exams in nutrition or exercise and I do not have any affiliations to any company selling diet foods, pills or potions.

My books are written from the heart, because for my entire life I have struggled with my weight. Sometimes I have been a size 8 and at others an 18! Therefore, I know from first hand experience how debilitating being overweight can be.

My hobbies include looking after my twin grandaughters and I adore turning dull and unloved pieces of furniture into shabby chic gorgeousness and renovating our house - which needs a lot of renovating!

I took up golf several years ago and contrary to popular to believe it is not a good walk spoilt at all but a great challenge, excellent exercise and a fabulous calorie burner!

I used to ski until I was involved in a skiing accident in Italy, which resulted in 4 operations on my knee and a year's stint on crutches. During this period I managed to gain yet another 2 stone. So you see I really do know what I talking about.

I read this book in less than one hour - it is that good. I also read very fast, but the point is that Hollie has managed to write a light page-turner about a very heavy subject.
Once started, you will want to know more about how she did it and you will find that actually, most of what she says you already know. But the way she writes it makes you think there is a really good friend talking to you, confirming what you thought and encouraging you to get up and do something about it.

There are lots of books around about losing weight, but this is one of my favourites. It was easy to read and very chatty and I agree with the other reviewer, reading this was a bit like talking to a friend. Very lighthearted and I'd recommend it.

I loved this book! Over the past 2 years I have been on fad diets having no lasting success. Feeling helpless and with self esteem at an all time low I was looking for some motivation. This book has really helped me to understand that I deserve to be the best me. Hollie is very easy to relate to and just seems like a normal person, which made reading her story more enjoyable. :)
