I loved reading about Sam's wonderful , funny , and special experiences as she becomes an offical teenager. Sam is growing up from her first book -My Sister is a Pop Star-yet she still has the ability to get into very funny and and wackey situations that make you laugh and cry- sometimes at the same time. Sam is a terriffic young teenager who loves life and has her own way of wanting to be an everyday normal teenager while her entire family is involved in her sisters pop star celeberty status. Sam has funny and teenage issues she has to deal with and she finds unique solutions to her issues. When Sam finds out she has a long lost Grand Pa her experiences become more exciting, funny and mature. Sam starts dealng with emotions she has never experienced and she handles them in her own very special way. I know how real Sam's experiences are because Kimberly Greene the author lived most of these experiences while she was growing up. I know this to be true because I am Kimberly's dad.

I purchased this book for my granddaughter who will be 13 soon. She loved Kimberly Greene's first book,"My Sister's a Pop Star," and she thought this one was "awesome" as well. It has such an authentic voice. One could definitely believe that a young girl who loves horses, but not so much fame and fortune, wrote the dialogue. My granddaughter and I are looking forward to her next book.
One disappointment, one has to order this from the UK because it is not available in the States. Since it is obviously set in Southern California it would make sense for the book to be in every bookstore here.
