I bought this album when it was first released all those years ago but only after i'd seen Sherman play at the 100 Club in London which to this day remains one of the most blistering sets i've ever witnessed.
The album contains everything you could ever wish for from an electric blues album, scinterlating guitar with the all too rare and welcome addition of a soulful vocal. From fast moving tracks like Linda Lou and Somebody's Messin' through the Home of the Blues to Am I Losing You and my own personal favourite Make It Rain this album is superb from start to finish and well worth checking out especially if you haven't heard of Sherman Robertson before.
You won't be disappointed.

If you want to explain the the unititiated why you love the blues this is the kind of CD to use. Tasteful and comfortably executed guitar playing, soulful vocals and tight backing. And if it makes you feel like going to see Mr Robertson I can recommend that too!

ONE OF THE BEST BLUES GUITARISTS AROUND TODAY.

SHERMAN ROBERTSON DESERVES TO BE HEARD. I AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH HIS EXCEPTIONAL PLAYING. THIS RECORDING IS LIKE A PRECLUDE TO WHAT SHERMAN IS CAPABLE OF . IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME, THEN DON'T CHECK OUT HIS 1998 AUDIOQUEST RELEASE "GOIN BACK HOME". IF YOU TRULY ARE A BLUES GUITAR FANATIC AND ARE CONTINUALLY SEARCHING FOR WHO IS MAKING THE BEST BLUES TODAY, YOU WILL FIND THAT SHERMAN DELIVERS SOME KICKASS BLUES AND YOU WILL WONDER WHERE THIS MAN HAS BEEN HIDING. AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF A FIRST CLASS BACK UP BAND AND SUPERIOR SOUND QUALITY. WHAT ELSE COULD YOU ASK FOR. DON'T BELIEVE ME AND DON'T GO OUT AND GET IT.
