Sound quality is phenomenal for listening to mp3s and calls.
Build quality is that it's a solid little block, the speaker grill at the top is metal, both the painted black mesh and the chrome centre. The lower part is matte plastic with the coloured part being shiny red plastic, other colours are available, it doesn't show smudges and fingerprints too badly. I quite like the standout red colour.
Underneath it has rubber ring running the perimeter of the base for non-slip positioning of the unit, like in a car where the driver perhaps doesn't have built in bluetooth handsfree.
The on/off switch is located on the bottom of the unit and is a toggle switch, it seems pretty firm to move but I imagine it will loosen over time.
The first pairing was easy, as soon as it turned on the gadget bleeped and flashed a blue LED above the bluetooth button, my android phone immediately found it and paired with one button press.
Several calls where placed to landlines and mobiles with the other persons saying they heard me loud and clear, even in a noisy living room. Volume controls on the unit are useful as you can set it to the max you'd like and the adjust via your connected device.
Battery seems to lasting long enough and this is my only issue it comes with a not very long usb cable for charging. I'd have liked a mains charger but all the same this is a quality product and worth the money.
