This is another in Usborne's series of illustrated stories and is a real Christmas treat! Share in the magic of Christmas with familiar tales such as 'Twas the Night before Christmas and A Christmas Carol. Then revel in some less familiar stories such as Santa's Day Off and Snowy and Icy. Snow White and Puss in Boots are traditional pantomime stories, hence their inclusion. The mix of stories make this a book which will appeal to everyone and children will want to revisit it year after year as part of their seasonal fun. Each story is illustrated in a different way which perfectly reflects the story and the abundant pictures really bring the stories to life. I love this series of chunky well-presented books, ideal for sharing and for individual reading. A really well thought-out selection.

I bought this book with the intention of giving bedtime storytime during advent a more seasonal feeling for my two daughters (four and five years). Expecting nothing less from Usborne, and not being disappointed, this is a lovely book with some classic, well-written stories. My one thought, though, when going through the index, was that there are stories included here that I in no way connect with Christmas - Snow White and the Seven Dwarves and Puss in Boots. So if you're not too worried about a Christmas story book containing non-Christmas themed stories, go ahead and buy this book, it's a lovely book and my daughters certainly love it. If you want something exclusively Christmassy you'll need to look elsewhere.

Just received the book and I am very impressed with its quality. Colourful pictures accompany all the stories. The book is in very handy size, especially for young, small hands and provides a great read for both parents and the children. Would definitely reccommend it for a Christmas time.
