This has to be the best dictionary and thesaurus I have ever seen. It is so full of knowledge, a veritable treasure trove of information. I wouldn't let any child (or adult) be without it! It contains word banks for all sorts of topics (appearance, feelings, say words, mountain words...). I absolutely love it! And the pictures are fun too!

Have used this book in my teaching to provide children with relevant vocabulary for many topics. The word boxes in the thesaurus are invaluable and the book has been passed round the school to virtually every class! The simple definitions in the dictionary make language accessible to all and the example sentences consollidate the meaning for the less able child.

Bought for my 8 year old daughter, she loves it and took it to school straight away to use there. Full of really colourful pictures and loads of information. It is a heavy book for carrying to school each day but well worth the money. It is a good reference book as well so helps with homework and a great place to get quick answers.

Great one..definitely recommended for 6-9 year olds
My daughter who is 7 uses it intensively. I haven't found a single word which she has come across and haven't found it in the dictionary. Read more
