I must say one of the best books I have ever purchased for my kids. It's jam packed (and it has a hell of a lot of pages) with fascinating facts (even I learn new things too), great illustrations and photographs and pretty much on every page there is some fun activity relating to the era or civilisation it discusses that you can do together as a family or just parent/ child or just the child on it's own. It's pure enjoyment and a great and fun way to learn at the same time - so much to read, do and learn. I don't think there is a better book out there for kids and families. Whether it's learning about and how to make a mini totem pole to a hand made bow and arrow, small papiermache models or growing seeds - it's pretty great. There is so much to see and do in this book you and your kids will never grow tired of it and it's perfect on rainy days too :) I even sneakily read it myself sometimes when my son is in bed :)
I strongly recommend it.
