Bought this as I previously had a clamp lamp which was inconvenient - this base mount lamp is more practical but at £30 is ridiculously expensive as it is extremely badly made.

Out of the box it falls over as the bag of sand ?? in the base is not heavy enough.

The joint clamps are crude with no position notches and tend to droop.

If it were £10 I might think it reasonable as the circular tubes aren't cheap.

The only thing it does moderately is magnify.
