Format:Spiral-bound
I love this book.
It's clear and easy to read. There are a good number of colour pictures for inspiration and it contains pictures / diagrams of illuminated letters and calligraphy alphabets in several different styles. For each style there is a "project" letter which contains step by step instructions. It's really designed for people who want to do arts and crafts rather than an information source.
The only problem is the amount of other stuff that you'd need to get if you want to complete the projects - I've spent a lot of money on inks, paints and brushes and I want to get equipment for gilding to do another project.
If you like crafts and want a starting off point to do calligraphy and illuminated letter then I would recommend this.

This is the first review i have written, i was so impressed by this book i just had to. easy step by step instructins, packed with fabulous full colour pictures.this book is a colourful joy to the eyes. it is compact, easy to read, and covers all topics thoroughly. superb.
