This is a fantastic monitor at any price. I've bought two, and while I was looking at BenQ with excellent reviews, the price difference between those at 21" and this at 24" made this purchase a no-brainer.
These run plug and play perfectly on windows 7. Delivered well packed but needs a little assembly, the stand is in two parts and a little hard to clip together and insert into the monitor back one handed.
The screen is very bright. I've had to dial the Eco features of the monitors up to max, -25W per screen, to make them usable. However, as this saves power it's a good thing! Colours are dynamic and vibrant and are perfectly matched between the two screens - an ideal as I'm using these for design work. The one issue I've found is video - these are of course very high resolution and low quality video pixellates very noticeably on these screens. Text is crisp and readable at all sizes.
These would have been a 5 star item except for the stand - no ability to adjust the monitor at all. Kind of expected more in a professional product, especially one with no vertical height to speak of. Doesn't matter as they are to be mounted on arms anyhow, but as per the previous comment find a few good books if you need them at a comfortable viewing height.
Unusually, these monitors come with all the cables you could need, VGA, DVI and audio. However, the power cables included from amazon were not UK ones (naughty amazon) so you'll need to add these to the cost, and check warranty terms carefully.
In short: A fantastic product with just a few minor niggles.
I have done a lot of research before buying this monitor, and at the end I chose this one. The screen is great, the only problem is that I find the monitor quite low, and there's no way to make it higher - problem solved by putting a book under it.
This was bought as a replacement for a screen used for colour-critical work. I decided to try the Iiyama Prolite 24inch as I had read very favourable reviews on Amazon and Testfreaks. It was delivered today, unpacked and installed in 5 minutes flat, and was immediately in the ballpark for our color work, without having to calibrate it. The only downside to its' colours is it is a very bright screen, needing turned down somewhat. It is a sharp screen (without having that 'brittle' quality that tires the eyes) and has very high colour acuity and accurate colour relationships.
The OSD is clear and easy to navigate, and the controls are to hand - no digging around the back or side for them.
The only gripe I have about the construction, is the 'plate' type mount for the base attaching to the screen. It seems to work ok, but I would like to see it in a couple of years.
Apart from this, it's a very impressive monitor, and well worth the price.
