Urban R&B producer/vocalist/multi-instrumentalist/songwriter R. Kelly and his supporting band Public Announcement began recording in 1992 at the tail end of the new jack swing era, yet he was able to keep much of its sound alive while remaining commercially successful. Ever since TP-2.com (R. Kelly's Previous album), things have been pretty downhill for the Singer; the upcoming court case, the mediocre sales of his Jay-Z collaboration album, and a weak performance of his new Chocolate Factory album (in the UK anyway, it was a huge success in the states)
So when Ignition Remix started hitting UK airwaves, it was just what R needed. The song became the surprise hit of the year and quickly became a long stay in the Top 40, spending a few weeks at No 1. Not only did it get his name back out, but Chocolate Factory finally recieved the sales it deserved in the UK.
Ignition Remix is very different from the original which is sadly not to be found on this Single. One of the reasons why the song is so great on the album is how well the original flows into the Remix. Still its an amazing song, definatly something you'd want in a party. The Video is also included, which makes up for not putting the original song on the CD.
This release also has "Who's That" featuring Fat Joe. This is another great party type song, and has a catchy latino beat that will get heads bumping. Joe also drop a pretty decent verse to add to it.
The final song on this CD is "Apologies of a Thug" delves into more romantic territory and is taken from his "Loveland" bonus album which was given free with Chocolate Factory. The song has one of those Chorus with a squeeky, child like voice (much like Cam'Ron's "Boys"). Its another excellent selection.
Its good to see a single release with not only a video, but 2 extra songs. R Kelly is one of the most talented Singers/Song Writers/Producers in the world at the moment, and its great to see him back on top.

R.Kelly has been off our radios and CD players for a long time, but he has made a fabulous comeback with his new song ignition (remix). The song is upbeat and the lyrics are great, finally we've got some decent music back, no more cheeky girls! yay! Every where i go i hear people singing or humming this infectious song, its crazy. So, why is this song so hooking? Once you start singing, you just can't stop! Well, the song is very smooth and quite flattering, it has different textures and levels to it, it's not the monotonous droning you sometimes get on those songs and you can actually hear the words, yeah, they might be slightly strange but they still have meaning. This song is taken off his new album 'Chocolate Factory' so let's just hope the rest of his songs off this album are just as sweet and get our engines revving!

Can i get a toot toot can i get a beep beep! No im not mad these are the words i hear every time R.kelly is playing, whether it be in a shop, pub or club people cant resist joining in with this funky tune. And i honestly believe this will be the song of the year, yeah its not as meaningful as coldplay or as hyped as justin timberlake but who cares I LOVE THIS SONG! is cool its sexy and it makes me and everyone else in the country happy!
Go on buy it you know you want too!
