5.0 out of 5 stars Great Read 5 Feb 2014
This book is really really good!

In this book, Juliette seems to have discovered herself. She now knows what she thinks and wants - and isn't afraid to say so!

The book is full of emotion and you really feel, the more you read, that you are bonding with the characters. And it is lovely to see the progression through the trilogy to see Juliette emerge as the person she has in this book.

I'm not going to tell you the end - it will spoil it. Things aren't always predictable!

Would very much recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing ending 9 July 2014
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This was the perfect ending for the trilogy, everything that we wanted to happen to Juliette, actually happened. Thank god Mafi didn't end up killing every well loved character and luckily everyone survived.
Juliette finally woke up from her catharsis and dumped Addie. I didn't really like the way the "Warner vs. Adam" situation was handled because it was almost like Tahereh Mafi tried to brainwash us and convinced us in a matter of chapters that Adam was no longer suitable for J. and that his loving and caring side never really existed. She could have easily shifted the attention on Warner without ruining Adam's character so much and without making him look like a sissy full of pride.
I loved that Juliette realized how infantile and stupid she was at the beginning of Shatter me, where she would refuse to eat her food.
Some parts (especially in the beginning) were a bit frustrating because J. was "blocked" and she wouldn't admit that she always had feelings for Warner, DANG IT JULIETTE GET IT TOGETHER, DO SOMETHING.
The part in which she watches Warner sleeping and then he wakes up with his sleepy smiles AND THE DIMPLES.....
Too many Warnette moments, my heart just couldn't handle it, and my ovaries literally exploded when W. fills the bathtub with water..
Kenji in this just amazing, he's the only reason why this book was a little bit lighter in certain points. His sense of humor is great and i love the fact that him and Warner laugh at each other's jokes.
I loved this book because Juliette finally got her shit together and did something about the "Adam situation" and when it came to dumping him, she did it with no hesitation, and I was glad.
The scene in which Aaron is wearing sweatpants and J.

5.0 out of 5 stars What an ending for this trilogy!! 5 July 2014
By Veawen
Yes… I have read Book #2, book #2.5 and book #3 in one day… That’s how much I love this series!

I love Warner and Juliette, I love the way they’ve been written, I love how the rebellions are written and the world. The world hopefully Juliette is able to fix.

My love for Juliette has grown, my respect has grown, however both of those have decreased for Adam. But he’s just in denial that Juliette isn’t the same person anymore, she doesn’t need saving anymore. She needs someone who respects her, for who she is, for what she is, for what she’s capable of and mostly someone who wants her opinion and loves her for who she is.

I was really getting frustrated and angry at Adam, but what isn’t a good book if you don’t have those kind of emotions? I know they will sort it out, but separately from eachother.

Kenji and Juliette, that friendship is amazingly written. Kenji doesn’t take bull from anyone and will tell you things straight and that is what a good friend should be. I don’t like it when he was in the middle of everything, but love the way he dealt with it.

And Juliette and Warner ^_^ Happy sigh! I always knew something was different with Warner, I couldn’t dislike him from the beginning, there was something I quite liked about him.

Very nice ending to the trilogy! Well done!

Omega Point is destroyed and the number of people who survived the attack is miserably low. And to top it all, Juliette finds herself stuck with Warner as she is struggling to rebuild her strength in order to take down the Reestablishment once and for all, under these adverse conditions.

Shatter Me was quite disappointing to me, so I went into the rest of the series with very low expectations – and ended up being completely taken by surprise. And what a delightful surprise it was: Ignite Me, as well as Unravel Me, turned out the be extremely captivating and well-written, even to the extent that it kept me up all night reading, dying to know what happens next.

While I’m usually appalled by the idea of a love triangle, in this case it worked out well, as it helped to show Juliette’s growth as a person throughout the whole series. I was annoyed with Adam, the initial love interest, in the first book, because it didn’t seem believable to me that Juliette would fall in love with him simply because he was the only person in school who wasn’t mean to her, but instead only ignored her. Wow, that’s romantic, right? No, I’d rather call it precipitate or hormone-driven.

But then, in Ignite Me, Tahereh Mafi gives plausible reasons for why these feelings existed – Juliette’s relationship with Adam portraying her inability to stand up for herself – and how they could be shaken with her increasing self-respect and independence.

In Ignite Me, the author expands more on the world these people live in: Many are poor and unable to work. They feed on “foil food” in order to stay alive, and are suppressed by the Reestablishment, who intend to keep all the supplies to themselves.
