A delightful story. A dad reads his daughter, Daisy, her bedtime read and tells her that 'if I were you I'd snuggle up and go to sleep'. What follows is a humorous range of scenarios of the daughter imagining what she could do: feeding her dad porridge, cleaning him in the bath 'I'd make you wash your face and hair/Behind the ears...everywhere!' and tucking him up in bed. The dad meanwhile, asks whether he can bounce on Daisy's bed in the morning, watch TV, go to the zoo, 'buy balloons, eat ice creams and see baboons'.
My daughter loves this story, especially the thought of seeing daddy in a ballet tutu. The text is lovely, with memorable rhyme and the illustrations are really fun.
A cracking read.
