Have to agree with the reviewer from Cambridge. Colourful but weakly scripted and set in a London that's like an European backpacker's daydream... Notting Hill, Camden, etc etc. And oh look, one of those 'piano bars' that people are always going to. It's interesting that many positive reviews come from reviewers outside the UK; that may explain why they missed the shockingly cheesy and unrealistic script - presumably it was translated from Spanish or similar, and no-one had the heart to tell the director how daft it sounded.
I guess it's worth watching as a kind of distilled essence of 90's - the shoes, the T - shirts, the hopeless films about Camden and Notting Hill.
I have added a star for the 'spirited' performances all round, or possibly for the scenes featuring Penelope Cruz.
An afterthought - I'm going to add a third star because despite all these criticisms, I still want to know how it ends after turning off the telly last night because it was on so late.
