1st of all, this CD is very well done, with great musicianship. 2nd, and this is coming from someone who has a problem with satanic themes, Fate must want to hold on to some of their Mercyful Fate days. On the back cover behind them sitting at the table, above the chandelier, is an upside down crucifix, and on their website, they have another shot in that same room, with a different upside down crucifix. Now I know some people don't give a crap about that. But I do, and I know other people like me who like great melodic metal without the evil crap showing up in lyrics or artwork (photographs). I don't mind stuff on the "darkside" because there is a lot of evil to talk about in this world, but when it gets satanic (upside down crosses, pentagrams with goatheads, etc.), I draw the line. To be honest, it shocks me to listen to this CD and some of their others, and then see stuff like that in their photographs. Their music does not even come across as black or dark metal, so I believe this was an intentional act on their part to show that there is a very evil side to them even after Mercyful Fate. Hate to sound like the "church lady" but you didn't have to go there FATE. I have a problem with it, and I know others do also. Maybe, if you guys went the other direction (positive), you might get a little more help from the guy upstairs. I know people will bash this review, but I am very comfortable with my comments because they mean well. God Bless.
