Product Description

The legendary Danish Melodic Hard Rockers FATE are back with their brand new album, "If Not For The Devil", which will be released worldwide on November 22nd 2013 through Avenue Of Allies. Following two years after their impressive 2011 comeback "Ghosts From The Past", which was very well received by reviewers and fans alike, the band's latest effort was recorded with the same line-up as their previous record featuring Dagfinn Joensen on lead vocals, Torben Enevoldsen on guitar, Mikkel Henderson on keyboards, Peter Steincke on bass and Jens Berglid on drums and once again Jacob Hansen (Pretty Maids, Volbeat, Amaranthe) did a killer job, mixing and mastering the songs.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great new album among their best ones... 8 Feb 2014

This is a really good album compared to their previous one. I also liked 'Ghosts from the past' but this is much better not only because it is more melodic but for the songs themself.
Catchy melodies along this CD like bridges are burning, feel like making love, made of stone, etc...Their sound is loyal to Fate and unique hence if you have been a fan of them from the beginning or even you like melodic rock you will not be disappointed at all. Get a copy soon! Highly recommended. 8.5 out of 10. Thanks and regards...

5.0 out of 5 stars Ahh......great music and not a 'rapper' in sight 23 Jan 2014

You've guessed, i like many other don't care for today's american (or anyone else's) hip hop influenced music. So like a breath of fresh air (or nostalgia) I couldn't wait to hear the new Fate CD. Wow, that's more like it - this is REAL music, screaming guitars - I can't get enough of them. There is a real mix on this disc, from the fast and furious Reaping, to the ballad - Hard to say goodbye. 12 great tunes, with my favourite - Bridges are Burning.

Like Melodic Hard Rock - you're gonna love this then, I did.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good CD but hidden(?) message on CD Back Cover and Website 7 April 2014

1st of all, this CD is very well done, with great musicianship. 2nd, and this is coming from someone who has a problem with satanic themes, Fate must want to hold on to some of their Mercyful Fate days. On the back cover behind them sitting at the table, above the chandelier, is an upside down crucifix, and on their website, they have another shot in that same room, with a different upside down crucifix. Now I know some people don't give a crap about that. But I do, and I know other people like me who like great melodic metal without the evil crap showing up in lyrics or artwork (photographs). I don't mind stuff on the "darkside" because there is a lot of evil to talk about in this world, but when it gets satanic (upside down crosses, pentagrams with goatheads, etc.), I draw the line. To be honest, it shocks me to listen to this CD and some of their others, and then see stuff like that in their photographs. Their music does not even come across as black or dark metal, so I believe this was an intentional act on their part to show that there is a very evil side to them even after Mercyful Fate. Hate to sound like the "church lady" but you didn't have to go there FATE. I have a problem with it, and I know others do also. Maybe, if you guys went the other direction (positive), you might get a little more help from the guy upstairs. I know people will bash this review, but I am very comfortable with my comments because they mean well. God Bless.

Good Cd... Not their best, but certainly not bad either... If you are a hard rock lover and / or a Fate fan, you can't go wrong with this one !
4.0 out of 5 stars Fate is still delivering the goods.. 7 Sep 2014

I hadn't followed this band since the 80's, but this new disc caught my attention. For a couple of discs, at least, the guitarwork has been handled by Torben Enevoldsen, and his style really works on this group of songs. Relatively diverse, and very catchy. Worth hearing if you're into melodic hard rock..
